Why does it always happen to me? or does it happen to you also?

If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all.

I was a victim of a hit and skip driver on the way home from work. I was in the far lane from the curb and I saw someone coming out between 2 vehicles so I started to swerve to avoid em. Well they kept coming and hit the van at the door near the rear wheel.(oh it was raining cats and dogs which is why I didnt slam on the brakes) . I get stopped and look to see where they were. They were sitting there and I motioned them to go with me to a parking lot to get info and or call police. As I turned off to the drive they drive and I think they are going to turn around. I am parked now and get out to the damage and to wait for the other person.... well I go back to the road and they are not around at all. They never show up. I didnt get the license plate since I did not get a good view and I do not know what kind of dang car they had.

I end up going to a police sub-station to file a report and remember I have a $500 deductable.


So they must have been without insurance and got the heck out of Dodge before they got nailed.

$500 eh. I've had that. One pretty little girl hit me in a parking lot and pleaded to just pay, not do a police report and all. I never could get a hold of her and gave up. One time I backed into a pole I did not see in the dark. I was on the way to a spring turkey hunt and stopped to get something to eat. I put a $500 dent in the back door. I went anyway and chalked up to turkey hunting.

Its better than what happened to my friends youngest son Nov.15. He rolled his truck, hit a pole, and is dead now. It was raining then too.

Have a good Thanksgiving, I mean Easter, Nut! Sorry to hear about the $500 loss.

We are going to get estimates during the week before I submit it to the insurance. With the stupid Christmas coming I might just forego fixing it until spring time.
