Just stating facts. I don’t care who won, but that was a punter issue. He went for a stroll. :)

Indiana might have driven down the field any way, but we didn’t get to see.

You can stop defending Indiana now. :D
That was 100% the upbacks fault. Was more concerned about getting down field than blocking the rush. Miami had alot of mental lapses in that game.

Why this wasn't targeting is beyond me. Booth call stated prob didn't want to throw someone out of game. Really? Mendosa could have been out. WTH moment for me.
As an Ohio State fan that's been on the receiving end of questionable/infuriating targeting calls (Clemson's Trevor Lawrence seemingly ducking his head last second into the incoming defender) and no calls (end zone Marvin Harrison Jr. got taken out cold by Georgia defender) the no call on Mendoza made me pretty upset.

The rule is there to protect the players. I've said for years there should be two levels, one where it's just the yardage penalty but not a game ejection and then a second more severe with the ejection. In the case of Lawrence and many of these, expecting a defender to stop or change direction when they are within a foot of the opponent is not realistic. I do believe overall the rule has made the sport safer, but an ejection is such a steep penalty for what is likely at least half the time inadvertent and if it's too steep of a penalty that it discourages refs from calling it then something needs to change.

It's not like they didn't miss/ignore other calls. They missed a horse collar in the first Miami drive.

I don't think the refs changed the outcome of the game, and they are always going to make what we think are bad calls. Unfortunately, it's kind of good that people are only talking about a few bad calls. ;)

Yep, but this was beyond egregious. 🤷🏻‍♂️
