Whitetail Salmon Idaho

Going whitetail hunting in Dec on unit 28 for whitetail. Have no idea where to go any ideas would be appreciated. Or best ways to hunt then in that area.

It would rank very, very low on my units where I would whitetail hunt in idaho

What would you say the best unit is. I’m unit 28 I have access to private river bottom land.

If you have access to private the landowner will have better input than any of us

If you have private access you can do well by Salmon.

The Whitetail stick pretty heavily to private land. They like the agricultural areas. Why not just buy a general season tag instead of isolate yourself to Whitetail? The mule deer are abundant. Where you have access to private river bottom land and you came on here saying “I have no idea where to go” I would say go to the private land that you have access to.

I know of a few spots where the whitetails lurk off and on on public land, but personally, I would chase mule deer.
