Where to look?

So I ended up drawing an archery elk tag for the breaks, didn't expect to get on my second choice. The issue is that I have never been to the area, let alone looking for elk in it. If anybody would want to help a new archer out and send me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. I have been scouring over the maps this week and have found some good chunks of BLM and other public land, there is just a huge area to look at.
If anybody wants to send me into a good area, or at least let me know which general portion of 410 or 417 to start looking in it would be great.

Hunted only the rifle season in both HD's. In 417 hunt high, as there is no cover along the river, except on the islands. In 410 hunt the willows and islands. I expect the reservoir is full now and has forced the elk out of the willows in the eastern part of 410.

Just head out into 410 and find a spot to camp next to the other 1800 people and hope the next camp doesn't wake you with the snoring..............

That's what I'm afraid is going to happen, get a spot that I think will be great. Then have 20 other guys watching the same water hole with me.
