Also, if Nosler ignores me...I have 500 of the old style 100 grain solid base that I can use. I bet I shot 4-5 thousand of those through my 6...big-game hated them.

Those solid bases are nice...I loaded up a bunch for a friend's 30-06 back when Nosler did a run a few years ago. A 105 Accubond would be great especially since there are a bunch of guys shooting 6 Creedmoor. Maybe speed that twist a bit and load up some of them fancy 101 grain Hammer bullets.

Those are some old bullets no doubt. I’m sure they will do the trick. I count 400 there.
Don’t overlook the 105VLD or 105HPBT. Both are wicked 6mm bullets.

I’ve been using a Ruger M77 338 WM and 225 gr Partition for the last 20 years. This year I may use my Savage 110 7mm RM with 160 partitions. I’m conflicted about leaving the 338 home, but damn that gun is heavy compared to the 7mm.

My sample size is small so I'm definitely biased, but I love my 7mm with 160 accubond handloads.

I feel like the 7mm and specifically bullets in that 150-180gr range are a very well rounded caliber/weight if you want 1 rifle to hunt everything with.

I switch off between a Tikka T3 in .308 win. topped with a Leupold VX 3i 3.5 x 10 x 40 CDS and a Smith and Wesson 1500 rebored to .338 x 06 with a 2 x 7 Burris. The Tikka is set up for the Barnes TTSX 150 grain and the S & W likes the Barnes TSX 185 gr. bullets.

I'm gonna be the odd man out here. My rifle is an FN Mauser 98 large ring with a Karl Gustaf barrel chambered in the wildcat 30-338 win mag. It is topped with a Leupold VX II 3-9 X 40 CDS. Hand loading 180 grain Hornady SPBT at 3050fps. Rifle was built for me by Gene Lamb of Payette Idaho in 1994 and can't find anything that would replace it and do any better.

Remington Model 700 Mountain SS chambered in .280 Remington. I've not shot a single animal with it, but I'm firmly convinced it is the best elk rifle known to man.

I reckon I've got no fewer than 8 thousand rounds through it and surprised it didn't start throwing fliers before it did considering how I treated it.

That is awesome! I'm not sure I have sent that many rounds in my entire life let alone through one barrel.

Through last year I was running a Rem 700 Sendero in 300 WM with a Leupold VX3i. Love that gun. Will never sell it.

Switching to a Hell's Canyon Long Range in 28 Nosler this year with a Nightforce SHV F1 on top. Excited to get it going (although there is no way I will get the same barrel life as Buzz!)

For sure. I've killed a couple elk and a bear with 110gr Accubonds out of a 25-06 and they literally could not have died quicker.

IMO, 150 - 180 grains is a good sweet spot for a one stop shop rifle. Pick your poison, 30-06, 308, 270 Win, 7mm, the WSM's, all good calibers. Antelope to grizzly bears. Nothing wrong with having multiple rifles and tailored loads either, of course.
