If you are set on that caliber and gun then just go buy it where you can get the best deal - this is America after all.

If you’re not set on it or are set on buying a gun from your local shop then perhaps consider their bergara, I believe Bergara was started by a guy that left Christensen? Could be wrong on that one.

Worth the extra $1k? Gun value is always in the eye of the beholder. The only times I’ve regretted spending big money on a rifle is when it doesn’t shoot well but that’s a risk with all guns regardless of manufacturer. Generally speaking I don’t usually regret spending more. But once, cry once.

Bergara is a Spanish barrel manufacturer, who supplies barrels to many Euro OEM gun companies as well as some US ones, most known for making T/C Encore barrels among others. They have a big factory in Georgia near Atlanta and do make excellent guns.

Look at a Howa hs precision.
I think it's hard to beat at the price.
If you can get one that is.
Ammo is going to be a problem.
Even reloading components are impossible to get most places.
Not good timing to get a new rifle in a relatively new cartridge.
I have been waiting since February for the Howa I ordered.
But I got lots of loading components couple years back.
