What do you do with a wolf if/when you kill one? (Assume it is while elk/deer hunting - not while it is harassing your cattle and you're just going to drag it off into a ditch somewhere).

Full mount. My wife's mount turned out spectacular.

I seen a wolf that was tubed and tanned. Curled up on the step or the couch, makes a great conversation starter. You can always have it made into a rug or wall decoration later.

I would love to kill one someday. I would just tan it and hang it up by a nail though its nose

Turn it into one of those Roman wolf cloaks and wear it as a conquering victor ! I know I would salute you or you could make it a rug , that nice also !BFEA7879-E72A-4E06-9C11-13D00A05A1E7.jpeg7BF66558-6982-408E-9AEA-68930EF56679.jpeg

Have it taxidermized with a teeth-barred, leaping pose, then devise some sort of trap door in my house that will allow it to pop out in order to terrify unwary houseguests (both wanted and unwanted).

I did a rug and it means more to me than any other mount or trophy I have! There is personal meaning to that beyond the aesthetics of the mount itself, but it is stunning in person, and massive. It draws more attention and fascination from guests than any of the elk, deer, pronghorn, or bear that are also on display. John Hayes in Libby did an unbelievable job with the taxidermy, he has my business for life!

I also took the skull and mounted it to a paddle I found, along with various feathers I've collected over the years (nothing to see here, USFWS, just a few random hobby feathers!).
