What scope for out West on 270?

This one seems like it might be the beginning of a new class of scopes specifically for the western/mnt hunter.

I just can't figure out if I want the scope more than sending my dog to training this year. My dog is a pain in the butt and my old Leupold works fine 🤷‍♂️

I hunt mule deer & pronghorn with the .270's little brother, the 25-06, and a 6x Leupold. Works great. I've made one-shot kills at over 400 yards, and popped bucks at much shorter ranges as well.

Have a near identical Rem 700 in 30-06, with... you guessed it, a 6x Leupold. :)

Simple. Sturdy. Accurate. I'm happy with both rifles & scopes. The one on the 25-06 has the 42mm objective and is excellent in low light. The one on the 30-06 has the 36mm objective. It's almost as good in low light.

The 270 Win cartridge is a terrific choice for deer & antelope! I understand wanting to update your existing scope.

Regards, Guy
