What questions should I ask the biologist

There is a lot of good information in this thread. I have called biologists and department employees, and it generally hasn't been very productive for me. On the other hand, I have gained invaluable information when actually running into them in the field. Maybe I need better questions...I'm hunting in a new unit this year, so I'll call again soon.
