Alas, my trusty Resistol cheap 4x long oval blew out of the back of my truck when I rolled the back window down on a hot day on the Madison. Many elk camps, deer hikes, and days on the river.

My wife's lucky hat was a Billy Kidd Stetson (nat pulled all the stupid feathers out), lost in a Class IV.

The replacement, another Stetson, saw her through 22 antelope/deer out of 23 shots. One dead tree limb. Oh, the name of the hat line, per Stetson? John Wayne.

Every year prior to hunting season my daughter picks out a “lucky sticker” from some crafting book of whatever that I stick on the stock of my rifle or limb of my bow. They eventually wear off but there’s several still on my rifle, I’ll get a picture sometime.
