Just finished Chad Robichaux's 'Silent Horizons' and 'Riptide'...both ending with sequel baited non resolution.

Not sure I even want to start this book. 950 pages. My son just finished it and gave it to me as recommended reading.

We're headed on a cruise next weekend. I opted to not take it to read on the cruise, well, for reasons.

Finished on a plane bound for DC to meet a woman who may as well have been dressed in Othello's handkerchief when I met her. What a read, 10/10.

I just finished Suttree by Cormack McCarthy. It was good, certainly not as constantly dark as Blood Meridian.

It ended up being one of the best books I've ever read. The author did an incredible job personalizing for the reader the crewmen who were lost and the surviving family members with a lot of details and the photographs he included. Being caught in the worst part of that storm at the worst possible time is a terrible fate.
