Wet is right, an inch of rain in Phillips co now, feels just like home, rain gear I do have.

We had our usual fiasco on opening day. To review.. my buddy Dan forgot to put a bullet in his chamber last year. This year, buddy Jim for some reason, likely odd, or even probably bizarre, decided to not bring his rifle on the hunt. Plenty of tags, but no rifle? He takes buddy Dans rifle, with deer in range, and starts screwing with the scope, I asked him to “hurry up and shoot the damn deer” , but silence.., he apparently turned the scope all the way up, and needless to say, seeing that the rifle didn’t fit him, couldn’t get any decent sight picture. So, I drop two does, Jim 0, Dan 0.
If Jim had his own rifle, like a normal person, we would have easily had four down.
