I’m looking for a good all around mig welder. It would be used for everything from small DIY projects to farm/construction equipment. Does anyone have recommendations?

It will mainly stay in the shop. I already have a dedicated spot for it, including wiring.
If you dont mind having to do your homework a little bit, you can find some pretty good deals on marketplace for the older transformer style machines that are on wheels. Just have to make sure they arent 480v and/or 3 phase (unless youve got that capability).

For newer machines, I've been very happy with my yeswelder multipurpose on the cheaper end. Hobart is made by the same parent company that owns miller and they make some good mid range mig welders. Everlast is another good name in that range. For the higher end stuff, I like red over blue for mig welding but youre on good ground with either.

My BIL worked for an equipment rental place as a mechanic and he said the millers had the least amount of problems. Not sure what models or size but most were trailer setups.
