Thanks for all of the input, still mulling it all over....I bought a +$300 carbon fiber tripod set up, in the process of getting a good mount for the binos for it...we’ll see what happens when I get some NM tag money back...or I don’t!

I find it interesting that you bought pretty high quality binos and rifle scopes and are now pondering whether to spend money on optics that will help you observe at greater distances. If I wanted to save money, I would have done it the other way around, bought the best spotting scope and binoculars and settled on an average scope.
