Venture Engine Question

I’m looking at a pontoon boat that has an Evinrude 150 hp Eotec engine. It is said to have 20 hours on the motor. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this particular motor. I have looked on the internet for reviews. The boat is awesome that the engine is attached to. It may be a great deal or a bust. I know Evinrude is out of business, so that is a little concerning.

The Evinrude E-TEC 150s are generally considered solid motors with good torque and fuel economy. If it truly has only 20 hours, that’s very low.
Main concern is parts/service since Evinrude shut down in 2020, so make sure you have a local shop that will work on them. I’d also verify the hours through the ECU and get a compression test before buying.
