The rut for desert sheep in Utah varies, depending on the unit and herd source. The Native Utah sheep rut generally goes the month of November. In those native sheep units the hunting is often the best just before the season ends. Because Utah has reintroduced sheep from Arizona and Nevada, some units rut in late summer, early fall as well. I'm glad he found one to put a tag on.
