Used Binos for Boat

I have three pairs of those. One in each vehicle and another in the kitchen. I spent some time on ebay, looking at monarchs.But the sub models are so complicated. There are the s's, the p's, and a few other initials, along with numbers, one through seven, at least. The ones I have are older and seem to have no additional designation beyond monarch.

I've had Monarch 3's and keep some Monarch 5's in my truck. Both have been great for what I paid. I never paid attention to anything beyond magnification, prism type and objective size.

I purchased the Vanguard ED 10x42 for truck usage quite awhile ago. They are heavy (will sink fast); for the money invested the image clarity & brightness is quite good. Last year in WY window shopping goats my buddy had the 10X Vortex variant he said he spent $500+ on and the old Vanguard was superior in image clarity & brightness.
