Uploading pictures from your phone - improvement

[Lostinthewoods]

If anyone was struggling with uploading pictures to the site before because the photos were too large, it’s been fixed.

The way I use to do it was screen shot a picture I wanted to post, trim, and upload.

Or I had to use a compression photo site.

Well worry not…. the tech wizards have corrected it and you should be able to load any photos you want without having to add extra steps.

Enjoy and have a great day.

Just remember to leave your meta data intact so I can figure out all those honey holes!

In all seriousness, thanks! That’s been a pain but bearable.

Just wanting to ask, is anyone else having issues uploading pictures from their phone?

After this update it seemed like all issues went away, but now it sounds like an occasional user is running into an error saying a file is too large.

No.

Hadnt been a problem from iPhone or iPad for me.

I did the screen shot and crop thing… that worked.

From an IPhone I have had it happen a few times I think. But it’s easy enough to go in and upload the picture smaller.

Attach files>select photo>click “…” on bottom left of screen>Options>Size> select any size other than full size.

Also for those who don’t know yet, once the file is uploaded and before you hit post, “insert” shows up over the file. Hit that and select full image.
