Many of us have to drive more than a day to get to our hunting destinations. How do you make it bearable and even enjoyable?

I love some windshield time as much as anyone but I make sure all the firearms are out of reach when I drive across the Great Salt Lake, cause that stretch makes me plumb depressed...

I smoke some weed and listen to Coast to Coast AM radio.

Actually everytime I've been out west I want to start dipping skoal again to keep me awake and give me something to do.

Ditto the George Noory & Skoal. I would think that pot smoke would ruin the fresh, sagebrush scented air for my nose that I so enjoy when traveling to my hunting spot... but I wouldn't know!

Yep smoke ganja, drink whiskey and listen to Snoop Lion, of course only when I am driving. ;):D

Satellite radio is a must for me...

Would hemorrhoids qualify me for a medical marijuana card?

Maybe I need a convertible and a porkpie hat. It seems like in the movies that driving across the desert to Las Vegas is more fun when you do that....

Or maybe I just need better travelling partners...

When traveling with other hunters no problem as the bs is non stop.

Solo, the trip to is pure adrenalin....home leg is coffee, cell phone jabber, and books on cd.

I spent 18 days driving around the country with my wife this spring. Let's just say, it was a once in a lifetime experience. After stringing a few 12+ hour driving days in a row, threats of divorce roll easily off the tongue...

Add three kids in the back seat and you have my last July....

Allman Brothers live at Fillmore East helps the miles go by for me. Especially Whipping Post.

Love that album...Stormy Monday is my :sexytime: soundtrack...

I also like Clapton and Winwood Live at Madison Square Garden

As good as it gets...throw in some SRV, Cream, Doobie Bros 'Minute by Minute'', Gary Moore, Bonamassa....then start over.
