Trapping Ban

Not surprised by this in the least, I am sure there is pressure on CPW from the Gov’s office to end trapping completely or continue to restrict it further. Seems strange to suspend permits across the whole state when they know what regions wolves have moved into and what regions have no wolves. Would seem like a more targeted approach would make sense but this administration is going to take every opportunity to stick it to trappers and livestock producers. Expect to see more anti-trapping and anti-agriculture moves considering the current makeup of the CPW Commission.

Huh? How in the world does a foothold set for coyotes kill a wolf post release? That’s a weird one. I’d like to see the details of the necropsy
