Tracer ammo & fires?

Lead bullets are way different than tracers. Tracers are a bit more mobile than campfires.

It boils down to risk assessment. The typical testosterone-high recreational tracer shooter does little risk assessment ... it ruins the fun. Read the stories above; they make my point.

On many public lands shooting tracer rounds and using tannerite is prohibited for these exact reasons.

Here is a story from my neck of the woods that happened last May.

Short version - Bachelor party in the forest, incendiary shotgun shell, 18,000 acre fire, charged and convicted.

He picked the worst possible day to shoot that thing off, fuel and weather conditions were very ugly. The fire was 2,000 acres by the end of the first night.
