Tough but fun

Been hunting for a week now saw 3 spikes so far.Have really sore butt and hips from horses have averaged 14 miles a day on foot and horseback.Cant seem to find elk but seen tons of bighorns.

I posted a pic of my brother's elk that we got in AZ after 9 days of hunting everyday. Persistence usually pays off.

One thing for sure I'm having fun and seeing some beautiful country

If spikes are around, there's probably other elk in the area too. Ditch the horses for a few hours and hike.
