Yeah, I tried the reduced loads.6.5 is nice. There are several reduced recoil rounds available for .308 though.

Mine did last year (no shots fired), but man... I've seen and played my part in too many rodeos to deliberately use someone that small. It absolutely can be done effectively by many people. And the inverse can also be true, I've seen .375's lead to long blood trails. But my #1 goal is for her to enjoy it, #2 is quick and fast kills. Everything else takes a backseat. So I really lean toward something a little bigger that still doesn't rock her world, because #2 has a direct impact on #1.My daughter will be using a 243 this year for elk.
