I finally tagged my B doe this morning...hiked at least 5 maybe 6 miles to find elk where I can't hunt them, a really nice buck that is slicker than a greased midget, and a pile of does. Managed to get one of the big does about 1.5 miles from the road in some pretty gnarly country. Shot her with my Rem 700 7mm-08 loaded with 140gr Nosler E-tips (factory seconds) over H4350. I'm a little superstitious so I opted not to bring my game cart...probably should have brought it. I forgot my camera for a hero shot so my cell phone had to do.

A few hrs after the shot, I had her back to the truck and down the highway when I encountered a Subaru from Missoula hauling a smaller muley buck on its roof. I had to get closer to inspect.

The muley on the Subaru is pretty strange. Hippies must have found it hit along the highway. Its now on its way, to a proper service and burial.

Subarus are a fine hunting rig, good gas mileage, decent ground clearance and AWD.

Prius' work too, their ample storage space, especially with aftermarket tub style liner as opposed to a tarp.

Nice, I actually am considering getting a Nissan Leaf. I can charge for fee at work which will get me to and from work with ease and room to go out to lunch if needed.

I spend roughly $350/mo between carpayment and gas for my commuter currently, I can lease a leaf for $175 and not have to pay to charge it.

If I could only figure out a way to put a dead animal in it but unfotunately all hunting grounds are outside of it's range....unless Elon Musk builds an EV infastructure between the Bay Area and LA so people can drive their Teslas between the two.

Harris Ranch in Coalinga has a charging Station. Saw 3 Teslas charging up last month.

Six new Superchargers came online April 6th 2013. If you are using old single Supercharger by Shell station there is a separate Recargo location for those to update their status. Exit I-5 at Exit 334 and head east on W. Dorris St. (198) to the parking lot on the left across from the gas station.
