It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our founder, Mr. Leon Lesicka. His spirit of tireless determination and dedication to our conservation efforts will live on through all of us.
Any that wish to join in the celebration of his life are welcome to join us. January 18th at the Brawely Lions Center at 4:00 p.m.
I met Leon many years ago when I lived in San Diego area, I was introduced through Quail Unlimited. Leon worked on many drinker projects and helping get new hunters involved through pheasant hunting(planting birds to help the dwindling populations). He had some crazy pictures of the desert bighorns that resided in the area's surrounding Imperial Valley, CA and even better stories about his adventures in the mountains.
