Good luck buddy. I’m rooting for you! We just left WY headed back to VA. Just a heads up everywhere from Laramie to Cheyanne is out of dry ice. Finally found some in Nebraska for the cow elk burger and steaks riding home with me.

Any weather expected?

Rained the whole way up today, but clearing up now.



Expecting highs in the 40’s and lows in the 20’s for the next couple of weeks. Maybe a little rain and possible some light snow higher up.

That didn't take long!

Really great guys here who know the area. 12 cows and 1 bull. Had them at 70 yards and they buggered. Relocated them about 3/4 mile away. Set him up for a 300 yard cross canyon poke. He hit her quartering to and the 300WSM did its job.

Best part was that after she was shot the bull bred her. She could barely stand and he absolutely had his way with her. Lol

Most of them said in about a week. The closest we could find it was Ogallala Nebraska.

The only pressure you should be feeling is to enjoy your hunt! That’s what matters. Nobody is going to judge you on whether you kill an elk or not. They’ve all ready judged you, and that’s why so many have come together to make this happen. You’ve been through a lot the last few years. This hunt is for you and nobody else. Good luck!
