The last 2 days with Moosie

Now since he is driving I figured I could get the REAL story out before he pipes in

SO the plan was
pick up oscar at the airport, drive to lake fish at lake get a good nights sleep then head to his dads house to load a few things leave by 11am and have dinner friday night

I picked oscar up at the airport about 10 mins late. then traffic took us over an hour to get to the shop so I could get my boat and meet AZ402 at teh lake.
We get to the shop get the boat( I ahd to drop a battery off also on the way) drop battery off and its 7pm. stan had been at the bar picking up on some local bar flies( they even had a full set of teeth)
We called stan to have our order placed so we could grab our food and leave.

Finally get to the lake at 8:30pm ( it normally takes 45 mins from my shop) but I aslo forgot a life jacket and had to stop at the house. to get an extra one. April was suppose to meet us at the street with it so the kids wouldnt want to say his and stuff. too late we got busted claudia was at the window watching.

Oscar made the mistake of telling her that she had a pretty dress, well that lit the kid off and she talked non-stop( so did oscar)

so we get to the lake and launch the boat. while getting boat ready to launch, Oscar gioves me a generous gift from Jose Q see pic
no fish no fish no fish, about 12 midnight we get one ( stan has pics) at this time we are thinking maybe we should have dunked the worms in the gift or just drank it ourselfs and pretended we were catching fish.

so about 1am we head to the shop to put boat up. finally get home and into bed at 2:30 am

oscar even though it was a SMALL load and shouldnt take us long decided we should leave early like at 4:am, that way we could pick up the SMAll U-haul truck) and get back to phoenix by 5pm.
My alarm goes off I didnt, then oscar starts knocking on the door( I made him sleep in the back yard with the cats) I get up but was still asleep so I jum in the shower to wake up.....
we leave the house just before 5am. still thinking it was a short drive I figured we had plenty of time to get there and get load and be home by 5pm. Besides I have a tourny on sat and have to be up at 2:30 am. oh shit thats in 4.5 hours.
I just got home
more tomorrow if I am alive.

Oscars dad got tired so they spent the night in globe tonight. I was already in phoenix when oscar called.
Damn I wanted to spend some more time ....

I do want to say oscars mom and dad are very nice people, and I was glad i got to meet them.

Oscar needs to get in shape a little more cause the was lagging on loading box's, dont let him blame it on the 104º heat either. I have 20 years on that boy and I kept up

So Oscar wasn't loading boxes fast enough huh? Hmm that sounds familiar. The last time I helped my folks move (for the billionth time |oo ) I wasn't moving a chest of drawers fast enough onto the truck. Every once in awhile now I get lucky and my shoulder does actually rotate properly. :BLEEP:

My version of the story:

Leave Cottonwood at 4:45 P.M. to meet Moosie and Delw at the Wild Horse bar by 6:30. As I'm pulling off I-17 I get the call that the boys will be running about 40-45 minutes behind. No big deal, I'll hang out in the parking lot and listen to the ball game.

Delw calls, asks if I'll run in and order a few burgers for Oscar and him. I gladly go in to make the order. The creature behind the counter says it'll be about ten minutes. I say great that's about when they'll be here. Shortly after they arrive, pick up their order from the goblin behind the bar and we are on our way to the Lake.

We head out to the other side of the Lake. The water was like glass and the moon was very bright, looked like it'd be a great night for fishing. The fishing was not so great as it turned out to be. Oscar did however have a great fight with his fishing pole.

I think he battle this naughty little tangle on the end of his pole for a good ten minutes.

As the night wore on, delw hooked into a whopper.

The fishing wasn't great but the company was. I had a great time and lots of laughs.

G-sus... So I have been so Busy lately I missed this story. Wylee told me about it tonight so I went a Serchin'

DelW tells a pretty good story. I can't add too much, but the Morning wake up was a Classic. I was sleeping on the couch and Lay me head down at 2:03AM, My Alarm was set for 4AM. It felt like hunting Montana all over again, LAy the head down and the Alarm goes off. I roll over and 4:02 Delw Alarm Goes off. Now this isn't a Normal Alarm. It's a Loud BURRRRRHHH BURRRRHHH BURRRRHHH.. the type that if it was mine I'm throw it up against the wall the first day i had it. So it goes off and I sit up knowing I need to hit the road. I figure I'd go raid the fridge forthe Pizza we didn't eat the night before. In the Background I still hear BURRRRRHHH BURRRRHHH BURRRRHHH.. so I go knock on the door lightly. Not sure why I did It lightly, I think the Nieghbors hear DelW's alarm. I look at my watch and it's 4 mins been by. HUMMM.... I go put on my shoes and sit on the couch. andother 2 mins goes by and I go knock on the bedroom door again and do it louder till I finally hear something rolling out of bed saying UMMMPH I'm up. Delw Strolls out andthen says he nees a Shower. I wait till I hear the Shower then put my head back down. I hear the Shower turn off finally and look atthe clock again. something like 28 mins has gone by. Long story short, We hit the road

Th enight Prior I Roll into the Airport and DelW picks me up. He says he can't see me but thats because he's on the other side of the Airport. We hit a Store for a Tastey beverage. Hell It's 100+ deg. and my MAN boobs are sweatin'. I notice every other shop is a Strip Dance club and Wonder if people in Pheonix do anything else besides watch nekid women. ?!?!!?

We hit the road and seems like DelW has to stop at the shop for a Boat. Deliver a BAttery, Get a Life jacket, Etc. So the quick trip to the lake was several hours. We did get to see the Little munchkins and they were DANG awesome. Both little ones came out and Hugged me and talked to me like they knew me all their life. I felt like I knew them all my life too. Got to meet April and I felt like I was part of the Family that quick. I probably could have left my bags and Fit right in

We get to the BAr were Stan is waiting. He's inside sitting next to some Chick with 6 teeth and a Hiked up Skirt. I was wondering WTF he was thinking when He introduced me to her as his mom. I thought it probably wasn't and I thought it funny he gave her a Hundred dollars and a French kiss when He left.... but it is AZ and who am I to ask .. RIGHT ?

We hit the lake as most of the boats are coming off with Stringers full of Fish. Th boat ride was Awesome. hitting a Glass lake at 60MPH in the dark with only a GPS to guie ya is a Bit scarey. I also have never seen lines in the water for 4 hours and Only a 1/2 pound bass being caught but that must be good for AZ ? 1 week prior Elkturd went to Browly lake and they had 3 fish on before they had the boat off. Different strokes I guess

I think I had a Couple funny 1 liners for AZ and Delw Were both laughing. It might have been my funny jokes or jsut the fact that I was always untangling a line.

The next day We drive to Morenci and get a 27' Uhaul. We used every bit of that truck and then some. Delw tells a Good tale about me not keeping up but everytime we stopped for a Drink, I'd have to Wake him up. The shake meathod works better then teh Alarm clock I think..

All in all it was an AWESOME trip. The hills slowed the Uhaul down to 25 MPH at times but day 2 we drove many a hours to get to Utah. the next day it was OFF to the Races again so I could be home for my boys Cubscout meeting.

All last week I built a Shed for my dads Storage and Pictures will be posted tomorrow of that project. Sorry for the long wind but I finally had some time.... OHHH yah, SLEEP, MAybe I'll do that tomorrow...

I don't think most guys go to Lake Pleasant to catch fish, it's to look at the naked women. Too bad he took you guys at night, the naked women are out in the daytime.

The naked people are all over the place, just ask 1pointer (I think I have the nick right?)

Must be the warm weather that makes people think stripping in public is a good idea here.I saw a naked woman standing on on 43rd and Camelback last fall. You don't really have to pay admittance to a strip club for that kind of entertainment.
