The hard water ICE is starting to break up

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I should be on the water in about 2 weeks I hope. April is a great month for Lake trout here and fly fishing the river is good also. Some Big walleyes with jig and minow can be taken but you have to fish hard for them. I am ready, 3 new rods to break in.olefsih

I hear ya, Olefish.

I've got an honest month before I'll be able to get on the water. Still have 2 feet of snow on the ground in front of my boat, and they're still driving trucks out on some of the bays.

But I was in the shed today looking at my tackle and other equipment.... and I'm getting anxious too!

breaking of the ice , wow been a long time sinceive done that. back in washington fishing was good right after it broke and continued to be good till memorial day.

Belive it or not here in az I did it one time and the ice broke in early febuary. good fly fishing then.
