So I got my 2nd choice deer tag (doe) in unit 11 2nd rifle, not even close to the tag I want, but all good to get some decent meat and get my yearly CO hunting/fishing vacation in too. Can't complain with 0 preference points after burning them last year. I mainly focus on naps and fishing these days, so the hunt is just a nice little bonus, but my heart says that means I got 8 days to get a cow in 12. Since I know the deer hunt will be short n sweet, I figured I might as well join the madness in 12, 23 with a cow tag, just because. Not super excited about stuffing a quartered cow in the Subaru, but I figure with a big enough tarp in that soy boy contraption, I can make it happen. Any other folks headed to 12,23 for the nonsense?
