I'm not bringing this up asking for advice as I realize it's a personal preference as to hunting with an attached rifle bipod. I see pros and cons to both. I have a Christianson Firearms Carbon Classic that I really enjoy shooting and hunting with. It is chambered in 300 WM. I have killed antelope, mule deer, whitetail, and elk with same load. I have killed some animals by flipping up the bipod and using it. Others I have used my pack while lying prone which is actually my favorite position, however not all circumstances allow for shooting prone. Currently it is firearms season here in Oklahoma and I'm hunting in dense woods and won't be shooting very far. I this situation being up close I don't need the bipod and it's something else that makes a little noise. So I took the bipod off and forgot how light my gun is without it. Would like to go without bipod moving forward but that brings me back to thinking maybe I will come into a situation where prone position won't be applicable and I could be wishing I had left the bipod attached to gun.

The Spartan system is pretty dang cool. I put gunsmith adapters in my rifles. One where the traditional bipod goes and another a few inches infront of the recoil lug in order to adapt to higher vegetation and shoot from
A tripod.

I have been using a springbok the last two seasons, I really like it most of the time. The places I hunt prone would almost never be an option.

It does take a little getting used to with the flexible head.

If you do end up going the Spartan route, the gunsmith adapter is awesome

I had the Spartan javelin. It may very well suit your needs well, however I just found it to be inconvenient having to get the bipod and attach it when you’re trying to shoot an animal. Switched to the gunwerks 2.0 bipod. No looking back, night and day better.

Had both the spartan and atlas. Sold them. Have the Gunwerks 2.0 bipod. It’s freaking incredible and lightweight. Easy to take on and off and has excellent extension and an easy cant.
