So I have learned over the years my favorite way to set a hunt camp is a trailer. This is based on truley high numbers of days i spend afield a few medical issues and honestly comforts. This will be my 2nd(and final) cargo trailer conversion. I learned so much with my old trailer (and few others I have worked on) that my plan for this one is well developed and detail orientated. Old trailer was a 2015ish 7'6" wide,16' v-nose with 3500lb tandem leafs, all told it was 20' behind me on hitch. I ordered new trailer made to 8'6" width, 7'6" interior, 30' total length gooseneck with 7500lb torsions. There are to many options and deletions on order to go over them all but it's exactly what I wanted. Basic plan was developed around where and how i hunt, so I want hot showers in freezing cold, a queen bed(wife can join),a kitchen including fridge with freezer, ability to haul my pioneer 1000 SxS and all in a simple design that easy to maintain and doesn't break like RVs. Will add more details as build develops but mostly pics, if anyone else is building one this winter let me know. Here is a few of the very limited pics of my old cargo camper, nothing fancy 1" insulated walls/ceiling 2 windows and a rv style door.

I've always wanted to do this, but I just don't have the free time to finish a project like it. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Following this one-

Very cool! What is the length of your new trailer? Can we see inside pics of the old trailer?

New is 30' at tips, 22 main floor and 8' gooseneck basically. It tows at about 25' (only 5' longer than my 16') and is significantly easier to back into spots but right turns are tricky. @Gellar didnt buy new because there is nothing commercially avalible that checks my blocks without getting into fully customized build$. The quality of materials in traiIer will blow away anything avaliable on lots, things like .040 skin, all steel is heavier and coated, also a actual gooseneck so I can use most of my longbed (5thwheels are dumb). I can't find any old trailer interior pics but is was simple1/4" plywood walls with a small fold down table, counter and storage cabinet in v-nose; 2 windows, 1 roof vent, 1 burner stove, diesel heat, 12v electrical and cots to sleep on. In old trailer my SxS filled trailer so that front tire was on edge of passenger door and if i had extra cheeseburger for lunch I may not be able to squeeze out of trailer after pulling it in because of width. When you see my electrical and plumbing that's when you will understand what I want and why I did it my way. I am already a few weeks into this so will drop some pics to catch you guys up when I get some time.

Makes sense. I’m looking forward to updates.
