You can do well in Tex Creek, me and my boys have found consistent success in there. We get a long ways from the roads and trails though. Expect a lot of horse traffic too. How old are your kids?

Thanks, its good to hear some positive comments about the area. We are now planning to backpack in a few miles in and hunt. Initially we were planning on packing in on motos via the single track trails, both kids have a lot of time riding trails. My concern is motos and snow dont work out too well. They are 12 and 14 years old.

My boys that are 15 and 13 now have been going in there since they were 11 and both have done well.
