I see them here in eastern Wyoming all the time. Here’s a couple bills just walking down hwy 59 between Gillette and Douglas a couple weeks ago.

Goddamn, what a surprise in the middle of summer! I’d see them and think “big mule deer”.

My youngest son has a good elk tag and now that the bulls are all but full grown, I went out for a few hours last night to see what is around. One in particular seemed to pique his interest.
