Decided to get out this year and shoot a 3D course in some terrain. Since there was a total archery challenge relatively close, that sounded good.

Missed 5 targets, lost 3 arrows, and discovered I had a cracked limb and had to skip the last of the course. Not great. I’m just gonna pretend the shooting trouble was a mechanical issue (since I was dead on as of Thursday), and keep practicing the rest of the summer.

Highlight was seeing these non-targets underfoot while riding the lift up the mountain. Few more out and about.

I wasn’t able to shoot it this year due to life. Last year I felt like about 80% of the shots most people had no business taking in a real life hunting situation. Your cracked limb probably has a lot of effect on your accuracy. Get the bow situation taken care of start shooting more instead of running around the neighborhood. I sure wouldn’t judge a day at tac around my ability to actually hunt with a bow.

I did one a few years ago in Broken Bow Oklahoma. It definitely made me reconsider how "good" of a archer I was. Would love to do another one day.

Couldn't make this years as the dates conflicted with a KS turkey hunt. If you end up going to the next one let me know maybe we could shoot together.
Can't seem to find anybody to go with me to those things normally.. some of my friends wanna go but can't seem to commit

I've got one buddy who will almost certainly come the rest are all talk. If we end up signing up for next year's I'll shoot you a message first. Should be in January sometime.

Sounds like archery. Some days I'll shoot 5 arrows that'll hit a tennis ball at 40 yards, the next day I go out and can barely keep it on the target.
