Anyone on here tried an SWFA 1-4x24 with illuminated reticle? I’m looking for a good LPVO for my 16” AR. I like the price, the reticle seems a bit busy but is manageable. I previously ordered and sent back a Trijicon Credo 1-6x that had an illuminated reticle malfunction, which was a surprise. A Nightforce NX8 would be nice, but isn’t in the budget. I’m open to other suggestions as well.

Intended use is to be beat on, bounced around in the truck, strapped to an ATV, etc for coyotes and other targets of opportunity, while still maintaining a true 1x on the low end, so durability and zero retention is important for this one.

I have no experience with the 1-4 LPVO, but have had really good experience with their fixed 10x and 6x scopes. They’ve been almost bullet proof for me, and have had the same fixed 6x on the feed truck coyote gun for 7 years - so well used and tested. In that time I’ve only rezero-ed it when switching ammo (whatever is on sale) and when the rifle had to be replaced after it got run over.

I used one mounted on a .223 bolt gun for a couple years. Not a bad optic and I never had any problems with it. I just didn't care for the reticle for hunting so I switched to a different style scope for that rifle. Probably cut you a deal on it if you want it.
