Sweet Grass Hills of Montana

Not much on the public land. Lots of BMA opps, but competing with many upland hunters.

There is quite a concentration of BMA ground up there that acts like a magnet for 7 county hunters. Expect company.

BMA access used to be pretty decent, haven't been up there in about four years now. Some pretty good quality antelope, but don't expect any giants.

It does tend to draw a lot of Flatheaders that way. (Edit, you would fit right in since you're one too). PM me if you want more detailed info.

Hunted bucks up there a few years, never saw alot of goats. There was always a little bunch on private on the south side of haystack butte, a group on the east flank of gold butte, and a little herd by the resivor on the NW side of gold butte, every year I hunted it, we'd see goats in those locals... After spending quite a bit of time in Montucky, I'd think a guy could do alot better elsewhere...
