Suggestions for Lead Free Hunting Ammo

We use that 120 in 7mm08 hand loads. It kills cow elk just fine. Just about every Barnes bullet I've recovered looks like an advertisement for their bullets. Perfect petals and very good weight retention.
I'll second that. I've sent a few pictures to Barnes of bullets I have recovered. Their reply was basically that it was what they were designed to do. There's a lot of really good bullets available and Barnes is definitely one of them.

I shot a couple deer with the 140 E-Tips. They definitely opened (and the one I shot into water jugs opened beautifully), but they did seem to be a bit on the 'poke a small hole through' end of the spectrum. I think they work fine, but maybe a bit less forgiving than some bullets in terms of an imperfect hit. I'm working up a load now, with 132 grain Tipped Hammer Hunters. I've not had any cause to complain about Barnes bullets and we've killed a decent number of deer and pronghorn with them, but I've never used the 120's from a 7mm-08.
