Another good day in the field. Driving through 680 early this morning to survey grouse, I ran into a group of 15 bulls. 4.5 were still packing and 10 had a couple inches. Later bumped into a herd of mule deer, pronghorn and elk; all within 100 yards of each other. Bad shooting light forecast for tomorrow. Maybe I need to chase antler?

Miller,,,, How did the critters look up that way? Healthy, I hope, after the winter!
Most of my time has been south of 2. Lots of deer and lopes are OK.

Good to hear! Were the "still pack'n" bulls on the young side? Past mid April now, those horns should be jumping off their heads!

Found 1 chalky 5pt this morn.... saw 8 bulls, 1 little guy still packing and one big one starting on his first brows already.
