Made a trip to town yesterday and was sorta surprised at how many bulls we saw still with their racks on. First came around the bend and ran into a group of 7 bulls, 1 had dropped both sides and 6 were still holding both sides. On down the road a group of 6 crossed the road right on our bumper and they all had horns. One hit the fence and went down like he'd been neckshot. Antlers slapped the ground, but he got up and ran off with both of them attached. Later saw a large herd that had several bulls with it. Only horns showing were on a couple of little guys. Found one nice 6 point last week and thought maybe I was missing it by not being out looking for sheds. Gonna wait a few more days now.

When I lived in MT and picked a lot of anterls, I didn't even get out until the first week of April. The big bulls will have dropped by then, but the raggies will pack into May some times.

I was out shed hunting last week in east MT and I saw 2 little whitetails that still had their horns.

Twodot-Glad to see that you can finally drive on them roads.
