I finished setting this up for use with the trailer, blind, or driving in WY, and tested the "blind" version today.
$69 260Wh battery pack and a 6' cable.

Tested at the truck, then at the end of the street, watching youtube. Pretty impressive distance. WIFI calling and text enabled via tick box on the Iphone.

One surprising thing for me is that it does pretty good even in “standby” mode. For $5 a month you can use it for email, surfing websites (a little slower than usual but not terrible) and other things that don’t require much bandwidth. Just no high definition video.

I have 3 of the 99wh banks so I can carry them on a plane if needed. Combined with a 100w solar panel I can have internet pretty much anywhere. Total weight for all of it is well under 10 pounds.

Thinking about getting a pelican type case to stick it all in for ease of hauling it around.

Bump for guys using the mini at camp. What kind of power bank are you using/solar charging? I’ll be gone for an extended period of time this year thankfully but still have to be available to answer emails at night etc.
