Spouse Stress/Anxiety Condition

Well this is a longshot but sometimes when people's thyroid is messed up they'll test the house for radon

Fortunately you are only 30-40 from South Bend and not a four hour drive away. Getting quality medical treatment in a small town covered by your insurance can be challenging. We had this situation with my Dad who lived in a small town. After years of driving five minutes to his doc he was not happy with a hour to his new Docs. I live in a midsized town and it took me 40 minutes to drive to my primary care Doc last Monday and he is in my town. I hope you can get her some help.

@Zim

How's your wife.

And how was your hunt and trip?
Trip went very well except I lost time from our home remodel so my trophy hunt turned into a meat hunt. But the NP & family visits went very well. She had no symptoms.

She has been normal, no symptoms for 9 weeks. Except slight depression Oct 1-5. On psychosis meds for that time, but reduced in very low dosage. No stress. We are going to try to resume our regular annual routing of me staying in the US to hunt thru Dec 1st, her fly to China Oct 26th. Then I'll fly there to meet her for the winter.

Sometimes despite best attempts by doctors they cannot find a specific diagnosis, and they just resort to treating the symptoms. That is not a great situation but it is better than nothing. There are so many possible causes. To name just a few, series of small undetectable strokes, small undetectable brain tumors, undetectable cancers, conversion disorder, hormones, exposure to toxins, bacterial or viral infections, intestinal parasites, radiation exposure, and late-onset MS. Emergence of standalone severe psychiatric symptoms after age 26 is rare. Gun to my head I’d pick sodium deficiency, but also an 80% chance it’s something else entirely.
