Yep, driving down I-90 today and low and behold, this guy is standing out in a field about 200 yds off the interstate! I jerked the truck off the road hoping to get a quick pic before he darted to the trees but to my suprise, he just walked away. He stopped every now and then, unfortunately i just had a cheap ol crappy camera with me. I was hoping he would start chasing some livestock so i could help the cows with their "self defense" mechanism:D

Crazy thing is we saw one less than a half mile from that location about 2 weeks ago, and it was a big black one. No camera at all that day.

Pretty sad when you can drive down I-90 three times in the past 2 weeks and see wolves from the road two of those three times.............

Well, I too wish it was the only issue we were facing. I suspect you are trying to indicate that this is the only issue I worry about. Well, I can assure you its not. My hats off to you, Randy, Ben, and the very many others that have stayed glued to virtually every bill that has been listed at legislature. I don't have the patience to deal with the idiots that were there promoting many of these ridiculous bills. I wrote my letters addressing my point on many of them but just because I don't always have the time to argue back and forth on them here with people, doesn't mean I don't try to be involved.

Yep, you will see me at a headwaters meeting sometime when I can make it. When you have 4 kids and have some sort of activity every night of the week, sometimes it just doesn't work to go to a meeting.

I hope your cheerios are without piss tomorrow;)

Get your priorities straight dude.

Yep Coyote! Probably a big old pregnant female.

Crit, many of us were in your shoes. Your young, when we go fight these things there's very few in your age bracket. What are your 4 kids going to have left to hunt? Where are they going to hunt? I'm sorry, but you, and your buds need to get involved.

That's what I'm talking about. Would make a fantastic rug, and that skull would look great next to the other euros on the wall.

Shoots, i'm going to save a long arguement here. I do go to meetings when i can and due to other circumstances (not just having 4 kids) I have committments that I am obligated too this year. Bad timinig as I would like to be there every day. As I said, I can appreciate the time and effort that many of you have made during this session. I've done what I can, being as invovled as I can, sending dozens of emails and letters, many times while on the road, etc.... so I have been involved as much as i can. Next time, maybe I will have the luxury of having more time to dedicate to the battle..........Telling people who try with their little available time to get involved when we have already been involved as much as possible, really doesn't help the situation............

Drat, Awesome pictures man! You should use that dozer as a ground blind as soon as season rolls around:)

Hah! Those pics are from last winter. I can't get a wolf on cam to save my life. Barely any tracks up there anymore either. Something has happened to most of that pack. They are gone. I've seen a pair of tracks, and where they bred in February, that's it.

Two have showed up where I was getting the bulls wintering. Chasing those poor buggers around. Hope they move on.

SS...really? Telling TCG to 'get involved'? Ouch. Seems a bit harsh. I understand your passion for the legislature issues and whatnot (and it fires me up even though I'm not a resident), but seriously, you don't know the specifics each guy deals with. Everyone is constrained in some way. If a guy sends emails or places some phone calls, that's awesome. That is being involved, in my opinion.

Spent most of my 30's very involved in RMEF ( committee chairman, state chair, etc. ). One day while driving another 4 hour trip to boise to attend a meeting......I realized I was missing my son's little league playoff game. Turned the car around, resigned soon after. Missed way too much of my 3 kids lives or potential outdoor outings with them. Just when I got back in the swing of things at home, a deployment overseas for 16 months kept me away again. Now my kids are all teenagers, one away to college.....you never get that time back. When my kids are all out of the house, I intend to again get more involved. For now, I do what I can with what time I have after school plays, soccer games, track meets, kids church events, etc. I for one will never question and have nothing but respect for a man who has family as his priority.

+1 to all that.
