South Carolina deer hunt???

I am going to be in Charleston, SC in August and it looks like their deer hunt opens on August 15th. I would love to take a few days and hunt. Has anyone hunted SC or have suggestions? Thanks.

If you're gonna be hunting in SC in August it will be HOT, HUMID, with LOTS OF BUGS! Other than that it should be fun...

I would suggest going in November of December if you can vs Hades in August.
