Solo Hunting Tips

For me, taking a morning or an evening off mid trip helps me refocus and recover so I can keep hunting hard. I don't make it a habit but only as needed. The beauty of solo trips is you spend the time how you want. Lots of great tips on this thread.

I just did my first solo trip from Pennsylvania to Montana this past May. It was great. Being solo was way better than I anticipated. Everything posted in this thread is spot on, especially keeping a notebook. I’m still going back to the notes I kept. I used onyx to mark locations along my route for overnight sleeping, rest stops, etc…
Go for it.

Where are you trying to hunt at?
Not any one place in particular just asking what tips those that go solo on trips on trips out west do regarding logistics, financials, etc. I live in the east so it's not a jump in the truck after work and drive a few hours and I'm where I want to be kind of thing. Mainly colorado and in the future wyoming and montana depending on prices and availability of tags.
