Solo caribou hunt

Looking at doing a solo (my friends don’t wanna spend money) DIY NBR caribou hunt in 2027. I am thinking about going with arrowhead outfitters but I think I would rather do a boat drop off for Less money. Does anyone know of a good company that will take a solo hunter?

Going solo is a tough pitch unless you already have a relationship with the transporter, even then most will refuse.
If you hunt archery, maybe try a solo haul road hunt within 5 miles of the road. Or do the hike to rifle land.
Better yet, spend the next year posting here and asking for volunteers. I have had 2 Alaskan adventures with folks I met on this site.
I do not know any boat guys first or second hand.

I’m going to rifle hunt. Would be cool to set up a trip with a group.

I have Alaska Air miles to travel free to Deadhorse.
There are no vehicle rentals in Deadhorse which is why everyone flies into Fairbanks and rents a vehicle and even then it’s not easy.
I have a plan to fly into Deadhorse, inflate my 2 person kayak ( 2 person because my wife doesn’t want me going solo) then placing it on a kayak dolly, toss all the gear inside and roll down the road approximately 4.6 miles on the wide paved shoulder to the hunt border. From there the braided river can be crossed.
So the biggest cost would be license and tag, and baggage fees.
My wife could go with me but she has already been there and would rather go somewhere else.

Sounds like a fun time. My wife would push that SOS button The first time mosquito goes by her ear! Lol
