Never had a single shot rifle other that muzzleloaders, but I do really enjoy hunting with those. A single shot cartridge rifle I bet would be a fun way to hunt

#1's...all day every day for sheer aesthetics. Don't think I've ever seen more graceful lines...not even on a Dakota.

I love the Ruger #1's and especially the 1B. I have two that I use for big game hunting. One is chambered in 6mm Remington and the other is in 30-06. I have never felt handicapped using a single shot and I love the looks and feel of the Ruger 1B. I also have one bolt action which is a Winchester Model 70 that I turned into a 280 AI. Love that rifle also, but the #1's do have my heart.
