Semi Live TX draw hunt

That biologist is a real character (in a good way) and that WMA is my favorite that I have hunted in Texas, which, admittedly, hasn't been many outside of the panhandle. Congrats on the awesome buck.

Great buck! I've been putting in for hunts here in TX before I even knew about western hunting, closest I've come to drawing a hunt is "pending second draw results."

Someday.

Out again and looking for a doe. Only half hearted but still hunting. Ran into these two guys...that’s why half hearted

The way it always goes...I was stalking three does in the sand dunes and a very large buck walked out in front of me. He was a very tall wide and heavy eight that was bigger than my deer by a fair bit. He stayed within 40 yards for over 5 min. He left trailing the does I was trying to get to. Great night to be out. Saw over 40 deer, three big bucks and the two rattlesnakes.

Major weather change tomorrow. It was 70 today and a high of 40 tomorrow with snow tomorrow morning.

I wanted to thank everybody who followed along. This was a great hunt and I had a lot of fun with the semi-live update. I caught myself laughing when going over this...

I sent the post about dog lifting at 6:40. I sent the correction post about fog at 6:41 and sent the text that I saw him at 6:42. It was all over by 7:12.

I have been very fortunate to find public Land hunting in every state I have lived in.

Thanks again for following. Good luck the rest of this season and stay safe.
