His M94 carbine is not for sale. Some guns he bought before background checks, a couple he did background checks. How do I legally sell these? Thanks in advance.

He's in CO, not Canada!Oh no! You have to turn them into the local police to be destroyed!
Nothing to get excited about, stoeger shotties.I enjoy your posts, but I'm blocking you for a while to protect my marriage. Just kidding, of course. GLWS.
Thanks, this means I should not have to prove transfer through inheritance from my dad.
If you are confident you rightfully own the guns, then confidently sell them. If you grabbed them off a truck with sirens blazing in the background, I suggest you just keep them, lay low for awhile, and then go hunting. Who the heck “proves” ownership for a legal sale??? I have never heard of such a thing. Proofs and background checks, if required, are on the buyer, and if using an FFL, your ID just goes in their file and basically sits there. Thanks, this means I should not have to prove transfer through inheritance from my dad.
You'd hate Illinois! (not overly fond of it, myself)What a pain in the ass. I've sold guns in the parking lot of a convenience store here in Montana. mtmuley

I've purchased guns from a store in WY and had no background check to do, as I have a WY concealed carry. Did many sales person-to-person there. No paperwork at all.Yep^
Folks love person to person here...no paper trail. Works great for both parties unless weapon used in a heinous crime.I've purchased guns from a store in WY and had no background check to do, as I have a WY concealed carry. Did many sales person-to-person there. No paperwork at all.
When I was in Nevada my favorite little Mom and Pop store sold guns behind the counter. Along with beer, booze and poker machines. Ammo too. It was a cool place. mtmuleyFolks love person to person here...no paper trail. Works great for both parties unless weapon used in a heinous crime.![]()
