My daughter has an archery antelope tag. 16 years old. Won't be able to apply again until she's a sophomore in college.

We've been going rounds with this guy for hours now.

Now he's bedded 200 yards from her with no desire to come back to the hay field.

I misjudged where they were bedded at one point t and drove through truck within 100 yards. She's been inside 80 3 times.

5 days of hunting before a couple weekend commitments and she starts school Monday 20220801_153842.jpg20220801_153853.jpg20220801_155230.jpg20220801_163329.jpg20220801_163841.jpg

I like to set up an ambush between their morning feeding and bedding areas. Been within 10yds of whole herds doing that. Brush looks pretty short where you're at to be much good for stalking.

Sometimes they'll follow a fence until it comes to a place they can crawl under like a gully or a broken wire. I drove one to my nephew once by doing this. With the sun low and at your back early or late sometimes you can get pretty close.

Good luck to your daughter! I got mine this AM. Not big but spotted 120 yards from truck camp this morning while making coffee. Quick hunt, now at home wishing I had milked it for more.

There's only about 50 on these fields. Lol

Yeah she sat 3 different places.

She did have a good stalk in some taller brush.
