Yup. I am working a new area and it's the same story. There is a little shooting to The South but not very much. I have switched over to scouting mode now.

Our season starts next weekend and we are not seeing very many on scouting trips.

A graduate student over on the Mississippi reports this morning that there is a fair bit of gunfire on the Illinois side where early ducks and East are open. It aint looking good here. Just found An injured wood duck.. Lucky for me I left Gus in the truck

Early teal is over next weekend, and I may not be able to go, but I'm doubtful they are going to see a big move in the next few days. And these should be locals anyway, but they are AWOL already.

I am not having much luck on teal either. Was out this morning and all we saw were woodies, mallards, and geese. Managed one goose. Oh well, beautiful morning to be out and didn't get skunked
